Our previous Old English Bulldog had food related allergies, and when we got Kooch, we wanted to start him off on raw food.

We tried a few different raw food brands but didn't like what we were seeing in terms of the quality of the raw dog food available in stores. So we started making our own raw food by buying 60lbs of ground beef and adding supplements to it. This was a lot of work, but at least we knew we were giving him high quality meat.

When we told one of our friends what we were doing, they recommended we look at Carnevore Mountain as their food is high quality and exactly what we were looking for. Ava was found in a shelter in Belleville 8 years ago, where she was brought after being rescued from Northern Quebec. Her exact age was never known but at the time, she was estimated to be between 1-4 years old. Before starting on Carnevore Mountain, Ava was 3-4 lbs underweight and was eating inconsistently. Given her age, we decided not to give her diet a complete overhaul, rather we started lightly cooking the Carnevore Mountain food and mixing it in with a reduced amount of her existing natural kibble. He was rescued from a construction site with a nail in his paw. He was taken in and nurtured for 2 weeks before being brought to Canada and given up to me for adoption. He is approximately 3yrs old and his overall health and energy has improved dramatically over the last year. His coat is shiny, and he barely sheds hair.
