Licorice is a flavorful herb that has been used in food and medicinal remedies for thousands of years. Used in both Eastern and Western medicine to treat a variety of illnesses ranging from the common cold to liver disease. It has long been valued as a demulcent (soothing, coating agent) and expectorant (rids phlegm and mucous from the respiratory tract) and continues to be used today to relieve liver problems, skin diseases, (eczema and psoriasis), respiratory ailments (such as allergies, bronchitis, colds, sore throats, and tuberculosis), stomach problems (including heartburn from reflux), inflammatory disorders and stress relief.

Slippery Elm Bark 100mg/serving-

Is a unique herb with unique properties. Slippery elm is a demulcent (mucoprotective agent), which means that it is capable of soothing the lining of the stomach and intestines and reduces inflammation and irritation.

Recent studies have shown that slippery elm bark can help treat the symptoms associated with inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

Slippery elm is also indicated for UTI treatments, as it has been shown to soothe the lining of the urinary tract. It also acts as a mild diuretic, as it helps to increase urinary flow and eliminates waste from the body.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of meat do you use in your dog food?

We use a variety of meats sourced from local farmers, including naturally-raised and fed beef, lamb, rabbit, duck, turkey, and air-chilled chicken. All of our meats are from free-running, grass-fed animals to ensure the highest quality and nutritional value for your pet.

All of our meat is human grade, and made in Ontario regulated and inspected facilities that make food for human consumption.

Only the very best for our furry family members!

ARE YOUR FRUITS AND VEGETABLES ORGANIC?

Yes, all the fruits and vegetables we use are 100% certified organic. They are lightly roasted for easier absorption, digestion, and nutrient retention.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS GRAIN-FREE AND GLUTEN-FREE?

Absolutely! Our dog food is grain-free, pea-free, lentil-free, and potato-free. This makes it an excellent option for dogs with food sensitivities or allergies.

IS YOUR DOG FOOD FRESHLY MADE AND FROZEN?

Yes, all of our meals are premade and flash-frozen for maximum freshness. This also allows us to avoid using any preservatives, or other artificial ingredients.

WHAT'S THE PROTIEN -TO-VEGETABLE RATION IN YOUR DOG FOOD?

Our dog food contains 85-90% meat, organs, and bones to mirror a dog's ancestral diet, as well as 10-15% fruits and lightly roasted vegetables. This ratio is designed to provide a balanced meal that is rich in essential nutrients.

DO YOU HAVE LAB TESTING TO BACK UP THE QUALITY OF YOUR PRODUCTS?

Yes, all of our raw dog food products are lab tested. In fact, all of our products are produced in facilities that are licensed and regulated by OMAFRA (Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food & Rural Affairs) under the Food Safety and Quality Act. 2001. and are produced in factories that make food for humans.

What this means for you, and your pet is that we follow the same food guidelines, and processes that are used to make food for you and us to eat!

DO YOU USE ANY MECHANICALLY SEPARATED MEAT (MSM), OR OTHER FILLERS?

Absolutely not!

Mechanically Separated Meat (a.k.a. MSM or otherwise known as meal) is meat that is deemed unfit for human consumption, is highly processed, and is used to produce the majority of kibble that you will find on store shelves.

If it's not fit for human consumption, why would you feed it to the dog you love? We wouldn't and that's why we created Karnevore Mountain Natural and Nutritional Dog Food.

IS YOUR PET FOOD HUMAN GRADE?

Absolutely!

Many pet food companies claim to use human-grade ingredients, but how true is this claim?

The only way to genuinely state that pet food is human-grade is if it comes from provincially or federally inspected ingredients and facilities.

All of our ingredients are genuinely human-grade, sourced from Ontario licensed and provincially inspected facilities.

Our raw dog and cat food is made in an Ontario provincially licensed facility that also produces food for humans.
